Sign away our peace for your war.

who? Ana Adams, her friend Luke McCoy & Loki Laufeyson
when? On a windy day, in a warehouse.
what? A clash of forces

Ana Adams hadn't been home that day. Loki had tried to pay a visit but he found the door locked. It was not that spending time with the young maiden was his number one priority, still the importance to have access to her abilities made him keep an eye on her. He did that through birds, through critters, even through regular mortals. Not all the time, of course. Especially now he had been standing in front of a closed door.

With a soft sigh he turned around again, tilting his head slightly as he closed his eyes. Ana had never been hard to find, traces of her aura were always around...

The god of mischief laced his fingers together and whispered a soft spell. His tall statue seemed to shrink a bit, his dark hair growing out, forming long curls. His face changed into something more feminine, also a bit older, wiser even. The suit he wore made place for black jeans and a tight, green top.

"Found you," he hummed, voice more of a purr than anything else. And in a flash Loki disappeared.

Ana was in a warehouse, something old, long empty and left well alone. Up the Brisbane river, not from the Powerhouse in a place that Luke had made his own, warded and guarded well enough to protect from most things.

It was a great place to practise. The dusty floor was marred with shoe prints, the debris swept this way and that by the power they were weilding.

Luke McCoy, the street shaman, Ana's dear friend and pillar of support was a lanky man a few years older than Ana with pale blue eyes and gingery blond hair. In jeans and a simple tee, he looked ordinary were it not for the foci on his hands, silver rings, worked and charmed bracelets and inked designs on the tips of his fingers.

He was strange, always had been but Ana adored him and his quirks. He made her feel warm and safe, even after he'd spent the better half of a two hours flinging fire at her head.

Smiling at the woman across from him, Ana he raised his hand and clicked his fingers. Fire flickered into life, lashing towards her like a whip. Ana raised a shield, left hand sweeping from her belly and out.

The flame whip crashed against it uselessly and Luke brought it back with a practised hand before flinging it her way again.

"Stop the tai chi movements, you're giving yourself away." He called out over the clash of fire upon shield.

"Hey, you try going against ten years of training and tell me how easy it is!" She threw back, pivoting to cast her own fire, the spark shooting through the air like an arrow before exploding on Lukes barrier.

He grinned at her, the expression giving warmth to his already friendly face.
"Nice one, you're getting the hand of fire."

The pair had picked up pace, Luke drawing heat from the air to create fire, using the cold air left behind to cast ice. Ana knocked them away with the flowing motions of her martial art, sometimes flinging Lukes attack back towards him. They came so fast, she barely had enough time to attack on her own, now and then flinging exploding sparks towards the other.

She didn't dare use the dark, she had no desire to depend upon it after learning how quickly it exhausted her. This was her first day out of the shop since the clash against Loki.

When Luke stopped suddenly, his smile replaced by a frown, Ana released the spark gathered in her hand. Following his gaze, he turned to see a woman with long dark hair and a sharp face, her body all curves as gorgeous.

Ana couldn't place it but she was familiar.

Footsteps behind her and then a warm presence at her side announced Luke. He stared down the woman with a surprisngly stern expression.

"Can I help you?"

Ana's head cocked to the side. This woman certainly looked lost but, knowing Lukes skill at warding she couldn't possibly be a mere human. From the way he shifted beside her, it seemed Luke agreed.

"In the middle of an empty industrial area? I don't think you've gotten lost lookin' for the Powerhouse, sweet." He says, moving just a little ahead. Anymore to the side and he'd be hiding Ana from sight.

Ana glanced at Luke and back at the woman. Luke was tense, suspicious and he had right to be and Ana, she just wanted to know how the woman got through the wards...

Unless...

She tilted her head squinting at the woman.

"It's midday." Ana said, speaking up. "If you got lost then you're friends are right bastards."

Ahead of her Luke shifted.

"Joan. Really? Well, if you're lost you can turn around, walk out that door and if you down the street you'll hit the river. Go right and then you're back to civilisation." Which long story short meant 'Leave. Now'

"We're a bit busy sweet heart."

Luke rolled her left shoulder, a dismissive action.

"So what are you then?"
Besdie him, Ana groand, dropped her her head against his arm.

"It's Loki. Of freaking course it is."

Ana heard Luke suck in a breath beside her.

He never liked the idea of her dealing with the god, still convinced she was as human as he was. And now he was here.

"Not invited, mate."

"Luke." Ana's voice a warning. She stepped around him to give Loki an impaent look.
"And if we say no?"

He could feel Luke bristling behind her but thankfully, kept his mouth shut. She could understand his temper. There was a stranger, a dangerous and powerful one at that in his house and there was nothing he could do. It had nothing to do with love.... Right?

"Loki, what does this have to do with our agreement?" Ana asked, watching him carefully. Behind her Luke shifted and his voice sounded, suddenly close to her ear.

"He's throwing his weight around. I warned you about this."

Ana reached behind her for Lukes hand. Finding it she squeezed.

"Of course you're not giving us a choice, are you?" She let go and drew up her shield while Luke behind her squared his stance.

Ana could see the amused contempt on Loki's face. His loss if he couldn't understand how having another there could help. She let go of Luke's hand and touched into the dark. Behind her, Luke spoke up.

"This isn't about Chaos, this is about inflincting yourself on another for petty amusement." Ana moved, but Luke struck first, drawing at the ground beneath Loki's feet and pulling. A gravity spell, designed to focus it all in one place, beneath Loki.

Ana threw her streaking fire, following them with the dark blades.
